AJ Field Win Multi Million Pound Extra Care

A J Field have been successful in securing the multi million pound MEP package on the new state of the art Extra Care facility in Denbigh 

The construction of a brand new extra care housing scheme for older people in Denbighshire, began on 23rd April 2018 in the centre of Denbigh.

In a £12million investment, the Pentre Canol scheme at Middle Lane, Denbigh will see the construction of an extra care housing scheme for older people that offers independent living in 71 individual flats but also giving people the opportunity to enjoy and relax within some communal facilities.

Dylan Roberts, Director of Regeneration Services at Grwp Cynefin said: “This scheme is a breath of fresh air for Denbigh located on the site of the former grammar school which had been declining for many years. We are pleased to begin the work on site and start the journey of developing the area to offer quality homes for older people of the area".

Pentre Canol is a partnership project between Grwp Cynefin and Denbighshire County Council with financial support coming from the Welsh Government. The new quality facility in Denbigh will offer older people the opportunity to live independently in individual flats, taking advantage of communal facilities available for eating, recreational and social activities.

The development will consist of 42 two-bedroom apartments and 29 one-bedroom apartments for people who want to live independently, but with support packages available if needed. Individuals who may need more formal care will also have a specifically designed living accommodation within the facility.

I am looking to employ local tradesmen and recruiting new appentices that can give more back to the area in the future". 

It is anticipated that Pentre Canol development will be finished during spring 2020.
