Health and safety is at the heart of everything we do.

At AJ Field we are fully committed to providing a safe environment for our employees, sub-contractors, visitors and members of the public. The management, control and responsibility of health and safety rests upon all levels of management, supervisors and individual operatives.

We are dedicated to ensuring our health and safety policy is implemented and adhered to throughout the company. We achieve this by providing adequate resources for health and safety training and the implementation of policies, by promoting competent management and leadership and through the implementation of effective and safe procedures.

Effective communication of health and safety matters and ensuring employees and other persons understand and accept their responsibility helps us promote a safe and healthy workplace. We continually report, monitor, audit and review our policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment is maintained and make all provisions for safety at planning, estimating and tender stage.

We ensure that adequate arrangements exist for employees to make representations on matters of safety, health and welfare and that all accidents and dangerous occurrences are thoroughly investigated, that the cause is identified and prevention procedures are put in place.

We strive to promote sustainable practices that help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the natural habitat and water quality. We effectively communicate to employees, contractors, consultants and suppliers the best management practices, safety and environmental hazards and compliance requirements established.

We are committed to participating in training concerning our environmental responsibilities and job functions. We regularly update our environmental protection policies and procedures, consistently reporting compliance concerns and reviewing and improving our environmental performance.
